Stylised illustration of Championship football cities — cathedrals, bridges, castles and stadiums under a bright sky

The Away End · 2026–27

Welcome to the Championship, football's great road trip

Twenty-four clubs, twenty-four towns and cities, forty-six rounds from August to May. The Championship stretches from the Humber to the Solent, from the Welsh border to the North Sea — a division where a Tuesday night at the Den and a Boxing Day at Fratton Park are the same three points. This site is the away supporter's companion: an introduction to the places the division calls home, and a fixture-driven planner for getting there, drinking well and making a day of it.

The places the division calls home

The Championship stretches from Teesside to the south coast, taking in two Welsh clubs along the way — and every corner has its own away-day character. Here it is region by region.

London & the South East

Three capital outposts plus Watford, and now West Ham's vast Olympic home. Tube and mainline links make these the easiest aways — and the priciest pints.

The division's heartland: five clubs within an hour of each other, from Birmingham's back streets to Wolves' Black Country pubs.

Four founder-member territory: Deepdale, Ewood Park, Turf Moor and Bolton's retail-park bowl. Proper football country, and the wind to prove it.
